Our independence is eternal and irreversible.
On the occasion of 25th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan a district-wide event was held in Gabala Cultural Center. Opening the event with the introductory speech, the head of the department of the region executive power on the socio-political and humanitarian issues - deputy head Ataya Osmanova made a presentation in connection with the 25th anniversary of our independence. She said that the Supreme Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted the Constitutional Act on State Independence of Azerbaijan on October 18, 1991. The first years of our independence were very difficult. Only after the national leader Heydar Aliyev came into power in our country in June 1993, our homeland gained true independence. As a result of targeted and forward-looking internal and external policies of the brilliant leader for 10 years since 1993 till 2003, the independence of Azerbaijan became eternal, irreversible and indestructible. Due to the consistent, successful and creative continuation of the genius leader's policy by the worthy successor of the great leader - our esteemed President Ilham Aliyev, today Azerbaijan has gained credibility in the international arena and become a strong state. The artistic part of the festive event started with the audio record of the passage from the poem of Samad Vurgun titled "Azerbaijan", voiced by the great leader back in the day. The overture was sounded from the exciting opera "Koroglu". The festive event continued with a variety of musical performances.
