An event dedicated to the fight against drug addiction was held.
On October 24 the Gabala Cultural Center hosted an event related to the educational work in the fight against drug addiction in accordance with the "State program for 2012-2018 regarding the fight against illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and drug addiction." The education and healthcare workers and youth of the district were invited to the event. The meeting was opened with the introductory speech by the head of the Department of Region Executive Power on the socio-political and humanitarian affairs, deputy head of the region executive power Ataya Osmanova. At the meeting the report on the subject was made by the member of the working group of the State Commission to Combat Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs Ragif Allahverdiyev. Then, the narcologist of the Narcological Center of the Ministry of Health Asif Kangarli, deputy head of the department for work with the regional centers of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Aydin Rajabli, a member of the Main Drug Enforcement Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police colonel-lieutenant Shahin Huseynov and others spoke about the measures to combat drug addiction - the scourge of our time. At the event the questions of the participants on the subject were answered in detail, the short film "Hədəf" (Target) about the problem of drug addiction was shown. The meeting was summed up by the member of the working group of the State Commission to Combat Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs Shahin Ismayilov.
