Round table on "the importance of the organization of job fairs"

Pursuant to the schedule approved by the State Employment Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan Republic, a round table was held on "the importance of the organization of job fairs" with the organizational support of the Region Employment Center. Declaring the meeting open Elkhan Salimov, the Director of the Region Employment Center, spoke highly of the invaluable contributions made by National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the social-economic development of independent Azerbaijan. Making reference to Mr. President Ilham Aliyev's tireless work Elkhan Salimov talked about the adoption of very important decisions about increase of the industrial potential of the country, agricultural progress, strengthening of social protection of the population and provision of employment for sustainable development of the country's economy. E.Salimov emphasized importance of organization of the job fairs in the successful implementation of the employment policy of the country and said that all enterprises and organizations operating in the region should take an active part in this area. It was noted that the job fairs played a major role in providing the unemployed citizens and jobseekers with appropriate jobs and meeting the demand of the employers for skilled workforce in a short time. Parvin Mammadov, the Representative of the Region Executive Power, and Farman Hajiyev, the Head of the Gabala Region Committee of the Trade Union of State Organization and Public Service Workers, spoke of the importance of the social partnership, and of the single database created for the purposes of public awareness in this field and expansion of the opportunities in connection with receiving regular information about the active vacancies. It was highlighted that the issues related to provision of unemployed citizens with the employment and their vocational trainings were always paid attention by the state. In the meeting the participants' questions were answered. The meeting was concluded by Elkhan Salimov, the Director of the Region Employment Center.
