Within the "Learning our country" project students from eleven cities and regions of the republic arrived in Gabala.

The regular educational tour-campaign entitled "Learning our country" started for the students of IX-XI classes of cities and regions of the republic. The students who departed by modern buses from Shirvan city, Khizi, Tovuz, Siyazan, Shabran, Imishli, Goygol, Fuzuli, Khachmaz, Gusar and Guba regions to participate in the tour-campaign on the Gabala - Sheki - Zagatala - Gabala route arrived in Gabala region on November 17, in the afternoon. Students in front of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Gabala had been welcomed warmly by representatives of the region executive power and education department; they were informed about the history of the Gabala city, its geographical position, culture and tourist potential. Then, in the Gabala city the tree-planting campaign was held under the slogan "Each one plant one" with the participation of 440 students and teachers accompanying them. During the gardening campaign students planted 500 firs, maples and oaks. Students, accommodated at the "Qafqaz Karvansaray" and "Qafqaz Yeddi Gözəl" Hotels in Gabala, were told that in accordance with the program of the tour-campaign from November 17 to 20 they will get acquainted with the works done in the field of socio-economic development in Gabala, Sheki and Zagatala regions, as well as social facilities, centers of recreation and entertainment, cultural and historical monuments, tourist attractions, museums, built in recent years. After lunch, the music and entertainment events, intellectual games, various guessing games were held with the participation of students at the hotels. Then students who arrived in Gabala came to Nohur lake. They came out for a walk around the lake, located in the mountainous midwood, and took memory photos. It was said that Nohur lake locates at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. Lake, the length of which is 1925 meters, width - 1355 meters, the area - 240 hectares, in depth reaches up to 24 meters and the water volume of this lake is 16 million cubic meters. Demiraparan and Vandam rivers run into this lake. Educational tour-campaign continues.
