The educational tour-campaign called "Learning our country" finished in Gabala.
The educational tour-campaign called "Learning our country", for the students of IX-XI classes of the cities and regions of our republic was successfully completed. The members of 11 groups consisting of Shirvan, Khizi, Tovuz, Siyazan, Shabran, Imishli, Goygol, Fuzuli, Khachmaz, Gusar and Guba school students, who participated in the tour-campaign to get acquainted with Gabala region departed from Gabala to their areas of residence on 20 November. The students, who participated in the tour-campaign from November 17 to 20, got acquainted with the works done in the field of socio-economic development in the Gabala region, as well as social facilities, recreation and entertainment centers, cultural and historical monuments, tourist attractions and museums built in recent years. During this tour-campaign of educational nature, the students were informed about the history of the region, its customs and traditions, geography, tourist sites, historical and cultural monuments. Before leaving, the students took part in an intellectual game called "What? Where? When?" held in the "Qafqaz Karvansaray" hotel with organizational support of the Azerbaijan's Intellectual Clubs Association. The game, demonstrating knowledge and skills of students, was held in a keen contest. At the end of the game, which was attended by a total of more than 50 teams, the 1st place was awarded to the students of Imishli, the students of Khachmaz took 2nd place, and the 3rd place was taken by the team from Gusar. The winners were awarded trophies, medals and certificates. Participants of the tour-campaign, seen off by senior officials of the Gabala Region Executive Power and the Department of Education, expressed gratitude to the President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and care shown. Students left Gabala with pleasant impressions.
