During holidays about 4 thousand tourists visited Gabala.

Due to the geographical structure, physical proximity to the capital and the modern tourist infrastructure, Gabala region attracts tourists not only during the warm summer season, but in the cold winter months. Number of local and foreign tourists, who headed for the tourist areas of Gabala on holiday vacation, going on in our country for 5 days on the occasion of December 31 - the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis and the New Year, was 2 times more than last year. These days in Gabala the dreams of people who wanted to have a ride on snowmobile in snowy mountains, to walk on horseback and in phaetons, to ride a cable car to the mountains and have a slide on a sleigh on the ice, to hunt in the forest animals and birds, to sail a boat on the lake, to catch fish came true. In recent days, the atmosphere of real festival has been experienced in the region, all hotels, resort and entertainment centers were packed with tourists. For efficient organization of relaxation of the guests in hotels and "Qəbələnd" Center for Recreation and Entertainment, the excellent conditions have been created, the concerts with participation of famous musicians and different entertainments were held. Local and foreign tourists acquainted with the rich history of Gabala, its modern urban planning culture and delicious cuisine. Modern hotels and resort centers located here during the holidays served a total of about 4 thousand local and foreign tourists. Tourists, who arrived in Gabala, explored not only the region center, they also acquainted with the picturesque places, going to remote mountain villages. Most of the tourists visiting the area during the holidays were local tourists. Among foreign tourists, celebrating New Year in Gabala, were people, who arrived from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, India, Russia and Pakistan. Among foreign tourists visiting the area there is a significant increase compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
