"February 2nd - Youth Day of Azerbaijan" was celebrated.

On February 1, 2017, Gabala Region Department of Youth and Sports held an event in connection with "February 2 - Youth Day of Azerbaijan" in the Heydar Aliyev Center. Earlier, participants of the event laid fresh carnations to the bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Then the event was continued in the exposition hall of the center. The event was attended by young people working in all areas in the region, taking an active part in social and political life of the region. Opening the event, the head of the Region Department of Youth and Sports Fakhri Soltanov noted that young people play an important role in our modern political, economic, cultural life, for the prosperity of our independent state young people are brought up healthy, creative thinking, with independent mentality. He also noted that the result of a well-formed ideological and political work is the fact that today the Azerbaijani young people, united around the President Ilham Aliyev, consistently carrying out a policy of great leader Heydar Aliyev, and completing projects, which he had no chance to implement, defend and develop the ideas of Heydar Aliyev, use all their skills for the progress of our country. Then, the head of the REP Department on Socio-Political and Humanitarian Affairs, Deputy Head Ataya Osmanova in her speech spoke about the founding of the state youth policy in Azerbaijan by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and that today's holiday is his gift for the youth. In her speech A.Osmanova spoke of the care and attention of our esteemed President to Azerbaijan youth, formation of sensible young people in Azerbaijan as a result of systematic work, in conclusion, she conveyed greetings to the young people from the Head of the Region Executive Power Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev, congratulated them and wished them success. At the event in their speeches the Chairperson of the Youth Association of NAP Gabala region organization Namig Aghayev, an employee of the "Gabala Regional Resource Center of Youth" Public Association Mehrab Sahibli, director of youth sports school Adalat Aliyev, spoke about the attention and care of great leader to the Azerbaijani youth, successful continuation of youth policy in Azerbaijan today by President Ilham Aliyev and the works carried out in their professional fields. In conclusion, an active group of young people that have achieved success in various fields in 2016 were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts.
