The memory of the martyr Sahil Shirinov was honored in Gabala region.
The memory of the sons of the Motherland, who died heroically in April battles of last year, is honoured at the memory ceremonies in all regions of our republic. On April 6, representatives of Gabala Region Executive Power, the District Department of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, heads of institutions and organizations, law enforcement officials and members of the public respectfully honoured Sahil Shirinov's bright memory, who became martyr as a result of hostile fire, during a combat mission on the contact line between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops in the direction of the Tartar region. The ceremony was organized in the Bum settlement, where the deceased soldier was born and raised. First they visited the grave of the martyr, flowers were laid to his grave, and prayers were read for the repose of his soul. Speakers at the commemoration ceremony spoke about the power of the Azerbaijani army, the love of the youth for the Motherland, the valour of the soldiers shown in the battles, the strength of our armed forces, the inviolability of the unity of the people and the army. The participants of the ceremony noted that the Azerbaijani army is ready at any time to give a decent response to the enemy, and the blood shed by our martyrs will not be forgotten, lining up behind the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the people are waiting for his order. The slogan "The martyrs are immortal, the Homeland is indivisible!" was sounded. Then a post-funeral reception was organized. Those who participated in the ceremony expressed their deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased, reported that the memory of Sahil Shirinov, who became martyr protecting our lands, will live forever in the hearts of Gabala residents.
