State Fire Control Service of the MES held a seminar-consultation

On April 19, the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations held a seminar-consultation in Gabala on "Fire safety of cereals and industrial plants and forests".
At the event, held with the participation of municipal, farming enterprises covering the North-West region, inspections of technical control, forest protection and restoration enterprises, representatives of the "Agroleasing" Open Joint Stock Company, the tasks ahead in the direction of providing fire safety during the collection, transportation, storage and processing of grain and industrial crops, as well as tasks in the direction of ensuring fire safety of forests, were discussed.
Opening the seminar-consultation, Head of the Department for Analysis and Forecasting of Social and Economic Development of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Deputy Head of the Region Executive Power Arif Allahverdiyev spoke in detail about measures to ensure fire safety during the collection, transportation, storage and processing of cereals and industrial crops, and in the forests in the upcoming season.
Nizami Farajov, SFCS instructor, said in his speech on the topic "Fire safety measures during grain harvesting" that, despite the purposeful preventive measures being implemented in this area, due to non-compliance with fire safety rules, burning of mown fields, the fires are registered on growing areas of cereals and beans, collected fodder, in the forests and on forest belts. Referring to statistics and analysis of fires, he assessed the lack of primary firefighting equipment in places where fires occurred, the unfamiliarity of people with their purpose and their inability to properly use them as one of the main causes of the spread of fires.
At the end of the seminar-consultation, slides were presented showing fire safety rules for cereals and industrial crops, forests, representatives of farms and municipalities were handed out memos, propaganda posters.
