Azerbaijan’s Trade House was opened in Belarus
During the official visit of Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, to Azerbaijan in November last year, in addition to a number of issues discussed with Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the tasks has been assigned on increasing turnover between these two countries in a short time, multiplying the share of Belarusian products in Azerbaijan import, founding Azerbaijan's Trade House in Belarus, importing from Azerbaijan of the agricultural products which are not produced in the country.
As an execution of the given tasks, in the Minsk, the capital city of Belarus Republic organizing process of Azerbaijan's Trade House, with a total area of 529 square meters has been completed. In order to run the Trade House "Azerbaijan’s Trade House" LLC has been established and state-registered in the Republic of Belarus.
For this purpose opening ceremony of Azerbaijan's Trade House has been held in the Republic of Belarus with participation of state and government representatives of both countries, including the members of the working group on Azerbaijan-Belarus inter-parliamentary relationship, as well as businessmen.
The Trade House will be functioning in the sphere of promoting "Made in Azerbaijan" brand more in Belarus market, encouraging and expanding the export of Azerbaijani products. at the exhibition held in the Trade House a range of products (wine and cognac, fruit juices, compotes, mineral waters, vegetables, jams, pickled products, canned foods, vegetable oils, tea, carpet, textiles, silk and cosmetic products, electrical equipments, plastic products etc.) manufactured by more than 25 Azerbaijani companies has been exposed. Shahin Mustafayev, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, taking floor in the opening ceremony, emphasized that the heads of states give importance to expansion of political-economical relationships between the two countries.
It is also mentioned that, according to the signed documents in the direction of development of the mutual friendship and partnership principles of the Azerbaijan-Belarus relationships, export to the Belarus of Azerbaijan-produced tobacco, cotton, carpets, tea, fruits and vegetables, and the goods, alcoholic drinks (wine, cognac, etc.) made of them, as well as import to Azerbaijan of some products from this country are planned.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei expressed his satisfaction with Azerbaijani delegation’s visit to Belarus, noted the significance of such trips for improving the collaboration between our countries and extending the trade and economic relations.
People who spoke at the ceremony mentioned that launch of Azerbaijan’s Trade House is an important step to extend the trade and economic relations between the two countries. In the opening ceremony, a film devoted to Azerbaijan’s achievements in the years of independence was demonstrated, and mugham and our national music were played in the performance of Azerbaijani musical art masters. Then, the delegation got closely familiarized with the Azerbaijan’s Trade House and the exhibition of Azerbaijani products permanently held there.
In the exhibition a variety of products which are manufactured in the Gabala region were also demonstrated.
A group of businessmen working in the region also participated within the trip as a part of the delegation led by Sabuhi Abdullayev, the Head of the Region Executive Power.
