The competitions of the World Cup in Olympic shooting continue in Gabala region with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the organization of the "Gabala" Shooting Club and Azerbaijan Shooting Federation.
In the competitions held at the Trap Shooting and Archery Complex in the Bum settlement of the region another 3 types of competition on shooting were held, and the winners were defined.
At the competition among boys in shooting at the targets located at a distance of 50 meters with small-caliber rifles lying on the ground, shooter from Denmark Torben Grimmel won the gold, Bulgarian athlete Yuri Sherbatevich - silver, and representative from Belarus Lionel Joks - bronze medal.
At the competition among women in shooting at the target from 10 meters distance Austrian athlete Sylvia Steiner ranked the first, Russian shooter Vitalina Batsarashkina - second, representative from Mexico Alexandra Vazquez Zavala – third, among men Chinese athlete Vei Yanq - first, Japanese shooter Tomoyuki Matsuda – second and Ukrainian Oleg Omelchuk – third place. The winners were awarded by the representative of International Shooting Sport Federation and the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev.
