The Republican Championship of the MES employees in Gabala has ended

The Republican Championship in Pentathlon held among the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) was over.
The competition held in the "B" military unit of Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Gabala city with the support of the Sports Health Club of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Trade Union of Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was attended by 80 athletes of 16 teams representing various structures of the ministry.
Athletes demonstrated their skills in the competition, which lasted from July 4th to 7th, on the stages of obstacle course, strength exercises on pullup bar, shooting, swimming and mountain climbing. Previously, these competitions were held in two stages in our country. But this year, the stages of mountain climbing, strength exercises on pullup bar and obstacle course have been added to the program of the Country Championship for the employees of MES for the first time. These kinds of sport required the athletes to demonstrate strength and skills and to fight in more difficult conditions.
Colonel Fuzuli Musayev, the chief of the Sports Health Club of the MES, Mehman Ismayilov, the chairperson of the Trade Union of Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Arif Allahverdiyev, the deputy head of the Executive Power of Gabala Region talked in their speeches about the importance of this competition, held in our country for the first time, the work done for the development of sport, the successes of the MES employees.
It was noted that Teymur Shahlamazov, an employee of Special Risk Rescue Service of MES was awarded the gold medal, Zeynal Zeynalov, an employee of Aran Regional Center - the silver medal, and Adam Hagverdiyev, an employee of State Agency for Construction Safety Control - the bronze medal in this competition held in mountainous and wooded area under difficult conditions to ensure the readiness of the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for emergency situations. For their performance, the Team of Civil Defense Troops took the first place, the Team of Sports Health Club of the MES took the second place and the Team of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations took the third place. The athletes were awarded diplomas, cups, medals and valuable prizes.
The Organizing committee of the competitions, taking into account the successful completion of the first Pentathlon championship held among the structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, decided to hold this sporting event every year in a traditional way.
