IX International Music Festival started in Gabala

The music lovers gather in Gabala region that bowls everybody over by its picturesque nature, once more. The performance of the youth at the first concert of IX International Music Festival held in Gabala with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and with the support of Ministry of Culture and Tourism and “Gilan Holding” left a mark in the history. In accordance with the program, a concert with the participation of famous young pianists and musicians of Azerbaijan took place in Chamber Hall of the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center on July 29. At this concert titled “Support to Youth” the stage was given to the young musicians. The students of Baku Music Academy Zuleykha Usubova (piano), Sheyda Alasgarova (flute), Jamila Asgarzadeh (violin), Aytan Ibrahimova (violin), Narmin Rzayeva (piano), Mahir Taghizadeh (baritone), Ilaha Sadigzadeh (piano) performed at the concert.
The performances of Anar Mammadov, Mammad Rajabli, Emil Baghirov and Sharif Baghirov who are the young members of “Clartet” Clarinet Quartet founded in 2016 at the initiative of the People's Artist Shukur Samadov were also welcomed with interest. Musicians performed the well-known works of European and Azerbaijani composers such as “Rondino” by A. Vieuxtemps, "Dance of love” by F.Amirov, "Rondo capriccioso" by K. Saint-Saens, “The Lark” by I. Dobrinesku, "Perpetuum Mobile" by I. Strauss, "Klezmer Dance" by C. Roben, “The Dance of the Goblins” by A. Bazzini, "Hungarian rhapsody" by F. Liszt, 5 pieces of music by S. Nazarov, Mardan’s aria from the opera "Vatan" by G. Garayev, J. Hajiev, Aria Figaro from the opera "Le nozze di Figaro" by W.A. Mozart. The concert program was received with warm applause from local and foreign spectators. We should note that, the world-known conductors, prominent musicians, performance ensembles, soloists from Russia, Israel, USA, Italy, Lithuania, Slovenia such as Oxana Yablonskaya, Dmitry Yablonsky, Janna Gandelman, Michael Slatkin, Mojca Zlobko Vajgl, Massimo Mercelli, Stefen Deitz, Anna Serova, Roberto Molinelli, Nomeda Kazlaus and others will take part in the International Music Festival which will last till August 3. On the festival days the concerts of Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibayli, Symphony Orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, “Baku Chamber Orchestra” of Baku Music Academy named after U.Hajibayli, Student Symphonic Orchestra of Baku Music Academy named after U.Hajibayli, “FeMusa” Chamber orchestra, “Clartet” Clarinet Quartet, “Furioso” Quartet will be held.
