European compositors’ works were performed at Gabala “Furioso” Quartet Chamber Concert
Gabala International Music Festival has become one of the significant events traditionally held in Azerbaijan in recent years. The festival deemed as one of the most successful projects of Heydar Aliyev Foundation has gained popularity all over the world. The Gabala Festival which is traditionally organized every year with the support of “Gilan Holding” not only presents the Azerbaijani compositor’s works to the foreign guests, but also allows local music lovers to get close acquainted with world classic masterpieces of art.
Currently, Azerbaijani and European compositors’ works that are performed in the IX Gabala International Music Festival where the world-known conductors, prominent musicians, performance ensembles, soloists from Azerbaijan, Russia, Israel, USA, Italy, Lithuania, Slovenia take part, arouses great interest among the audience. On the festival days there is a great crowd and special atmosphere in Gabala. In accordance with the program of this international music holiday, on July 30 a concert with the participation of famous young pianists and musicians of Azerbaijan took place in Chamber Hall of the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center in Gabala city.
Atabala Manafzadeh the winner of various international contests, name of whom was included in the "Golden book" of young talents of Azerbaijan, presidential scholar, performed masterpieces of G. Enescu, W.A. Mozart, A. Dvořák, F. Chopin, C. Debussy on piano.
The concert of “Furioso” Quartet for music lovers drew considerable attention as well. It was said that, “Furioso” Quartet has been commissioned in 2011 under the leadership of the Dean of "Performing" faculty of Baku Music Academy professor Nazmiyya Abbaszadeh and with the participation of the students Suleyman Babakishizadeh (violin), Zarifa Alkhasova (violin), Uzeyir Mahmudbayli (viola), Murad Ibrahimov (cello) and Kamala Neymanova (piano). We need to remind that, IX Gabala International Music Festival which takes place with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and with the support of Ministry of Culture and Tourism and “Gilan Holding” will come to end on August 3.
