Delegation from Azerbaijan paid a visit to Belarus.

On September 22-23, the Universal Exhibition-Fair "Euroregion "Neman-2017" and events dedicated to the 889th anniversary of the city were held in Grodno city of the Republic of Belarus. The leadership of the Gabala region, which became the twin town of Grodno, was invited to the events. To participate in the events the delegation under the guidance of the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belarus Latif Gandilov visited Grodno city. On the first day of the visit, members of our delegation got acquainted with the historical and cultural monuments of Grodno. The governor of Grodno Region Vladimir Kravtsov received the heads of delegations. The heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Belarus - the ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan and Slovakia, the Consul General of Russia in Brest, the head of the trade mission of this country, the trade adviser of Hungary, the adviser of the Embassy of Ukraine, the representatives of the border regions of Poland, Sabuhi Abdullayev, Latif Gandilov and other officials attended the meeting. Vladimir Kravtsov wished them the opportunities of successful cooperation and ratification of new agreements. Then the opening of the plenary session of the International Investment Forum named "Grodno at the Border Crossing" was held. Governor of Grodno Region, Vladimir Kravtsov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus, Inspector of Grodno Region Sergei Rovneyko, Deputy Minister of Economy Pavel Utyupin and representatives of other state bodies made speeches during the plenary session. After the forum, the Governor together with the representatives of the participating countries took part in the official opening ceremony of the Universal Exhibition-Fair "Euroregion "Neman-2017". More than 400 participants from 15 countries joined the exhibition, 150 pavilions were installed on the territory of 1.2 hectares. Azerbaijan was represented at this exhibition by the "Gilan Holding" Company and "ASPİ-AQRO" LLC. After the opening, Vladimir Kravtsov, together with the state officials, viewed the stands, including the stand of our country. Sabuhi Abdullayev gave the governor detailed information about the tourism opportunities of our country and "Gilan Holding" Company. A variety of fruit juices, wines and many other products of agriculture and food industry belonging to "Gilan Holding" Company and "ASPİ-AQRO" LLC were exhibited at the stand of our country, magazines and booklets reflecting the tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan were presented. The stand of Azerbaijan was rated as one of the most beautiful stands at the exhibition. Thus, an extensive tasting of products exhibited at this stand was organized. The delegation from Azerbaijan also took part in the events dedicated to the 889th anniversary of Grodno city. Sabuhi Abdullayev with the governor of Grodno region Vladimir Kravtsov and Mayor of Grodno city Mieczyslaw Goy also held separate bilateral meetings. During the meetings, prospects of relations in the field of industry, culture, tourism, as well as in other spheres were discussed. Sabuhi Abdullayev presented gifts to the governor and the mayor, including the coat of arms of Grodno city, woven on the carpet. Vladimir Kravtsov and Mieczyslaw Goy expressed readiness for cooperation with Azerbaijan in the industry and tourism, and invited Azerbaijani investors to invest in Grodno city. Sabuhi Abdullayev and Latif Gandilov were invited to participate in the jubilee events dedicated to the 890th anniversary of Grodno city next year. Sabuhi Abdullayev invited the leadership of Grodno city to Gabala whenever convenient to them. Both sides accepted the invitations.
