The new building of Gabala State Vocational Education Center was put in commission
The opening ceremony for the new building of the Gabala State Vocational Education Center took place on October 16. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education Mikail Jabbarov, the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev, the MP, the chairperson of the Republican Council of Elders Fattah Heydarov, educators and public figures. The guests who got acquainted with the new building of the center were informed that the Gabala State Vocational Education Center was put into commission as part of the process on optimization and rationalization in large industrial centers and regions, and the creation of modern professional education centers. The Gabala State Vocational Education Center, having the status of a lyceum, was established on the basis of the Gabala Vocational School and the Gabala Tourism and Hotel Business Vocational Training Center. The three-storeyed Center has all the conditions for the training of qualified personnel in the priority areas of the economy. For the conduction of industrial training lessons at a high level, 4 workshops, suitable for all specialties, have been equipped with the necessary modern equipment. A small educational and household site has been put into commission in the Center, landscaping works have been carried out around the building, and about 700 trees and ornamental bushes have been planted. The new academic building has a waiting room and a conference room, 30 classrooms, language and computer rooms, laboratories, 13 administrative rooms, a kitchen, a canteen, a restaurant and a hotel room for training, a library with a reading room, a dressing room, and a sports hall. It is possible to hold events of both regional and national importance in the large conference hall of the educational institution. A mini-stadium of a new type was put into commission in the Center for the students, and the sports hall is fully equipped with various training aids. The Center also owns an additional 75 hectares of land for practical classes and more than 10 units of modern agricultural equipment. Famil Mustafayev, Director of the State Agency for Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education, said in his speech that in recent years important activities have been carried out in our country in the field of vocational education and the commissioning of a new building is a continuation of the work being carried out. Minister of Education Mikail Jabbarov congratulated the staff with the opening of the new building of the Center. The minister noted that the creation of such a modern Center and putting it into operation on the territory of 3 hectares is another indicator of successful reforms, as well as regional development projects of our country, implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Noting that professional education is the main impetus for the country's socio-economic development, the minister added that the Center will train specialists in tourism, hotel business, agriculture and other specialties. The Minister noted the importance of the "Strategic Road Map for the Development of Vocational Education and Training in Azerbaijan" approved by the President's Decree in terms of projects implemented in the field of vocational education, and the importance of putting such centers into operation in order to train personnel in accordance with the volatile labor market requirements in our country. The Minister of Education also stated that the conditions created provide favorable opportunities for the development of knowledge and skills of students receiving education here, and in the future such institutions will be commissioned in other regions. Sabuhi Abdullayev, the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, told about the major construction and landscaping works being held in Gabala under the leadership of the head of state, noting that the region launched many innovations. Sabuhi Abdullayev also mentioned being held of the International Music Festival in Gabala, various art exhibitions on the initiative of First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, estimated the commissioning of the new building of the Center as a continuation of the ongoing work. MP Fattah Heydarov said that positive changes in such an important area of education and the creation of new vocational training centers serve to ensure the country's sustainable development. Fattah Heydarov expressed his confidence that the Center will promote the development of vocational education in terms of training qualified personnel in accordance with modern requirements. Note that 980 students can get education in the Center. Taking into account the peculiarities of the region in the educational establishment, the great importance is attached to training in the specialties related to the agrarian and tourist sectors. Currently, the Center conducts training in 19 specialties and 457 students receive education in these specialties. In general, the Center employs 14 teachers and 23 professional craftsmen.
