The Belarusian delegation visited the Gabala region.
According to the treaty dated on November 28, 2016 on “The establishment of inter-regional relations” signed between the Gabala Region Executive Power and Grodno city of the Republic of Belarus, the delegation headed by the Mayor of Grodno city Mieczyslaw Goy visited the Gabala region on December 8. The Head of Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev welcomed the guests. The delegation became acquainted with several historical and cultural monuments, the agricultural sector, industrial enterprises, tourist and sports complexes on the same day. The Belarusian guests listened to our folk music performed by the national mugham trio at the Gabala Culture Center. Getting acquainted closer with the Gabala region, the guests observed the production process of industrial enterprises in “Gilan” Food Town and watched the packing stage of the ready products. Then the delegation visited the Gabala Region "ASAN Service" Center. Being familiarized with the administrative building of the Center, the guests were informed in detail of the working principle of the Region “ASAN Service” Center, the services provided herein, and the interesting projects. They closely observed the performance of the employees, as well as the volunteers at the “ASAN Service” Center. Furthermore, they got interested in the principle of the “ASAN payment” terminals’ operation. In the meeting held at the Congress Center with the Belarusian guests who became acquainted with the administrative building of the Gabala Region Executive Power and the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center, the parties first introduced their delegations. In the meeting, Sabuhi Abdullayev expressed his gratitude once more to the Mayor of Grodno city Mieczyslaw Goy for the hospitality shown to the delegation led by himself during their participation in the Universal Exhibition-Fair “Euroregion “Neman-2017” and at the events, dedicated to the 889th anniversary of the establishment of the city, held in Grodno city of the Republic of Belarus on September of the current year. Sabuhi Abdullayev stressed that they always remember the way Governor of Grodno Oblast Vladimir Kravtsov highly appreciated the exhibition stand representing our country as one of the best-looking exhibition stands, in which a variety of juices, wines, agricultural and food industry products produced by “Gilan” Company and “ASPI-AGRO” LLC” were on display. Giving detailed information on the history, current status, economy, socio-cultural life of the region to the Belarusian representatives, he stated that the past of the Gabala region as rich as its nature covers the most glorious pages of the history of Azerbaijan. Elaborately informing the guests of remains of the ancient Gabala city that had been the capital city of the Caucasian Albania for 900 years, which survived until today, of its powerful fortress walls, as well as the tangible and cultural samples found in archeological excavations herein, the Head of the Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev brought to attention that along with being an attractive tourist region, Gabala also hosts the international events, forums, cultural and arts festivals, art exhibitions, and sports competitions. The Mayor of Grodno city Mieczyslaw Goy, in his turn, expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the delegation led by himself to Gabala. Furthermore, he highly evaluated the bilateral relations existing between Grodno and Gabala. Speaking about the sustainable mutual co-operation in the field of culture and tourism, Mieczyslaw Goy mentioned that it will pave the way for the development of tourism and the economic co-operation between the Grodno and Gabala cities. The ceremony for the presentation of commemorative gifts between the parties took place during the meeting. On the following day, the Belarusian delegation consisting of the state agents and business leaders became acquainted with other industrial, agricultural and processing enterprises, tourism infrastructure, historical places of the region, as well as, livestock breeding complexes, “Savalan” winery, Trap Shooting Center, “Tufandagh” Winter-Summer Tourist Recreation and Sports Complexes, Gabala State Historical and Artistic Reserve and “Chotari” Albanian-Udi temple. The delegation left Gabala with pleasant impressions.
