The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Mr. Thorbjorn Jagland continued his visit to Gabala

Today delegation led by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Mr. Thorbjorn Jagland, being with a visit in Gabala, got acquainted with tourist infrastructure, manufacturing facilities and examples of modern architecture in the region.
First of all the guests visited Gabala city hotel complexes, witnessed the development of tourism in Azerbaijan, as well as in the regions, work carried out in the direction of further expansion of modern infrastructure in this region, and the state's care, provided to the ongoing performance of large-scale tourism projects.
Then they arrived at "Tufandag" Winter Summer Tourism Holiday Complex, the first phase of which was opened by the Head of State, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, at the beginning of this year. The Head of Executive Power, Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev, accompanying guests informed about the construction of four cable lines in the framework of the first phase of construction of the complex, the completion of five of the ten ski roads, opening of restaurants with all the conditions for the organization of travelers' leisure, the systems of artificial snow production for all pistes and possibility to render services for 3 thousand people per day.
Thereafter, the delegation arrived at "Heydar Aliyev Congress Center". Guests who are interested in a unique building, built in a modern architectural style, were shown all the technical possibilities of 3-storey building, each floor height of 6.9 meters, meeting rooms, dressing room, room for artists, a restaurant with 350 seats, administrative offices, a spacious lobby, room for elevators, restrooms, located on the first floor, as well as a multifunctional conference hall for 1200 seats, a stage of 92 square meters, VIP rooms, security rooms, offices for the press and a spacious lobby on the second floor.
Mr. Thorbjorn Jagland, together with members of the delegation accompanying him, visited the local history museum of the region, familiarized with the history, culture and ethnography of Gabala, being the capital of Caucasian Albania for 900 years.
Guests were watching the production process at Gabala Canning Factory, known as the large-scale enterprise of the region, technology, starting with the reception of raw materials, to the final products bottling. Guests found out that the factory production is exported to more than 30 countries of the world.
Arriving at the "Beltmann" Piano Factory, the delegation got acquainted with the production of musical instruments, manufactured at the enterprise.
The representatives of the Council of Europe during the day also visited the complex for trapshooting and archery on the Bum avenue and the Albanian Church on Nij Avenue.
At the end of the day, guests left Gabala International Airport and went to Baku.
