Presentation of folk art works of Azerbaijan was held in Vilnius.

The presentation of the Azerbaijani folk art works has been held with support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan in Vilnius, Lithuania. The exhibition of the folk art works was organized at the event. Examples of works of art – compositions on which the traditions of our people have been described, mineral oil paintings, musical instruments, carpets, kelaghayi, souvenirs and other special handcrafts have been demonstrated at the exhibition. The representatives and experts of the organizations operating in tourism and cultural sector of Lithuania, heads and diplomats of the diplomatic representations accredited in that country, associates of mass media, as well as the members of delegation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, being in business trip to Lithuania participated in the event. During the event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of establishment of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and restoration of the state independence of Lithuania, wide information on the culture and art of our country was provided to the participants, and the tourism potential of Azerbaijan widely growing in recent years was spoken about. Within the framework of the event, in connection with the announcement of the Gabala city, as the tourist capital of the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the 2020 year, a video presentation about the city and the region was shown, and detailed information on the history, culture and tourism of the region was provided. At the event continued with a concert program, one of the famous singers of Lithuania, Associate Professor of Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre Judita Leitaitė sang Azerbaijani və Lithuanian songs, a proficient performer of Lithuanian instrument of folk music - Birbynė, Nikodemas Vaineikis and Paulina Daukshite in violin performed some pieces of the works by the genius composers of Azerbaijan Gara Garayev and Fikrat Amirov. Various dishes of Azerbaijan cuisine, sweets and wines were presented to the event participants and guests.
