A conference dedicated to November 12 – “Constitution Day” was held in Gabala district
On November 12, 2025 a conference organized by Gabala district Executive Power, dedicated to the “Constitution Day” within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” was held. The participants of the conference visited the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, laid flowers at the monument, and paid great respect and tribute to the great personality’s memory. The conference continued at Gabala Cultural Center. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed and the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of our lands was honored with a minute of silence. The Head of Gabala District Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev, who started the event with an opening speech welcomed the guests and congratulated them on the occasion of the “Constitution Day”. He highlighted that, the statehood traditions founded by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev are being succesfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The Chairman of Gabala District Court, Abbas Aliyev brought to attention that 41 additions and amendments made to the Article 29 of the Constitution, covering various areas, are aimed at improving the work of the highest state authorities, judicial authorities, and municipalities, ensuring human rights and freedom more effectively, and increasing the responsibility of the state and municipalities in protecting rights and freedom. Other speakers stated that, the Constitution is main means in ensuring society’s security, achieving prosperity, as well as establishing mutual connections with other societies. At the end, a video clip about the “Constitution Day” was shown.
