From September 3 to 6, 2026, Sabuhi Abdullayev, Head of the Gabala Region Executive Authority, led a delegation on a working visit to the city of Grodno, Republic of Belarus. As part of the visit, a number of meetings and discussions were held with the leadership of Grodno city on further developing the existing friendship and twinning relations between Gabala and Grodno, expanding mutual experience exchange, and strengthening cooperation in tourism, the economy, culture, and sports. The delegation also took part in a range of events held to mark the 898th anniversary of the founding of Grodno.
