A district-wide celebration has been held in Gabala in connection with the Novruz holiday. The celebration was attended by collectives from various institutions, enterprises, and organizations, as well as elders, members of martyr families, war invalids, veterans, representatives of the local community, and guests of our city. In his speech at the event, the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev, emphasized that the social and economic development initiated by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in our country, including in the Gabala district, is being skillfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. He also pointed out that for the fifth consecutive year, Novruz Holiday is being celebrated in our country as a triumph of the people. He congratulated the participants of the celebration and all the residents of Gabala on the occasion of the holiday and conveyed his best wishes. At the holiday event, the symbol of wisdom and eldership, “Dada Gorgud” and the herald of spring, “Bahar Giz”, who arrived by carriage, lit the festive bonfire. They congratulated the participants, wishing the people abundant sustenance, prosperity, and peace. On this joyous day, they called on the community to unite and show solidarity.  Subsequently, an exhibition was held showcasing the handcrafted works of the district's folk artisans, decorative applied arts, and paintings, as well as industrial and food products produced in Gabala's processing enterprises, holiday sweets, and Novruz tables. The exhibition, reflecting the centuries-old ethnographic heritage of national-spiritual culture, our ancient national traditions, aroused great interest of the participants of the event. In the theatrical celebration, which brought to life our ancient traditions, the performances of the main characters of Novruz, Kosa and Kechal, as well as the ethnographic folklore groups “Zopu-Zopu”, “Gulbuta” and “Gulustan” created a delightful atmosphere among the audience with their captivating presentations. The holiday event, decorated with Novruz attributes, continued with a concert program.
