A meeting with the sports community was held in the Gabala region
Within the framework of “Sports Week” dedicated to March 5 – Physical Education and Sports Day, a meeting with the district’s sports community was organized by the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department. The event participants first visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, laying flower bouquets at the monument to pay their respect to the great leader. The event, which continued at the Heydar Aliyev Center of the Gabala region, began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The speakers spoke about the state support provided for the development of sports in the country and highlighted the work carried out to develop sports in the region, the achievements gained in recent years, and the goals set for the future. Afterwards, a video clip featuring sports events held in 2025 was presented. Finally, coaches and athletes who have actively contributed to the development of sports in the region were awarded Honorary Certificates by the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department.
