A new “Harvest Season” initiative aimed at promoting gastronomic tourism in Gabala has been unveiled
Qafqaz Riverside Hotel hosted the presentation of the “Harvest Season” project, initiated by Gabala Hospitality Group to showcase Gabala’s year-round tourism potential and establish the region as a renowned gastronomic destination. The event brought together representatives of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and other tourism organizations, members of the local community, local entrepreneurs, representatives of restaurants and agricultural enterprises, as well as media professionals. Speaking at the event, Shabnam Farman, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gabala Hospitality Group, said that the main objectives of the project are to turn the region’s rich gastronomic heritage and seasonal culinary traditions into an important part of the tourism experience, strengthen the regional economic value chain by supporting local farmers through the “farm-to-table” concept, and shape Gabala’s distinctive gastronomic identity by bringing together local entrepreneurs, chefs, and farmers. She also noted that the Gabala Gastronomy Summit, to be held as the next stage of the project, aims to make the region an attractive tourism destination throughout all four seasons. Speaking at the event, Arif Allahverdiyev, Deputy Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, noted that initiatives of this kind make an important contribution to the overall development of the region and the enhancement of its tourism potential. He wished the project organizers and management continued success in their future activities. The event featured a comprehensive presentation highlighting the conceptual aspects of the project, examples of seasonal menus, and locally produced agricultural products, followed by a mutual discussion.
