A regional conference was held on the topic “Youth Say No to Harmful Habits”
A regional conference titled “Youth Say No to Harmful Habits” was held on 25 May 2026 at Tabriz Yagubov Complete Secondary School in Bum settlement of Gabala region. Organized by the “Anti-Drug Youth” Public Union, with the joint support of the State Commission on Combatting Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, the Gabala Region Executive Power, the region police department, the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Office, and the Gabala Region Education Sector, the speakers at the event stressed the importance of strengthening awareness among young people about drug addiction and other harmful habits. They also underlined the need to increase youth knowledge on combating drug abuse, particularly in regions and cities marked as red and yellow zones on the interactive map of drug prevalence in Azerbaijan, and to further improve the culture of fighting drug addiction. At the conclusion of the event, certificates of appreciation and participation were presented to students of the Gabala State Vocational Education Center, along with other young people who actively contributed to the activities and volunteer initiatives of the “Anti-Drug Youth” Public Union.
