A zone meeting was held in Gabala.

On 31.05.2022, the Republican zonal conference “New Challenges in NGO-State Cooperation: Strengthening the Public Control Mechanism” was held in Gabala jointly organized by the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Agency for State Support to NGOs. First, the event participants laid flowers at the monument to great leader Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to his memory. Representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, deputy heads of executive power of Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Shaki, Oghuz, Gabala and Ismayilli regions, heads of departments for work with Patriotic War veterans and families of martyrs, members of public councils operating under the executive powers, heads of non-governmental organizations operating in the above-mentioned regions attended the conference held at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center. Speaking at the conference, which opened with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabuhi Abdullayev, Head of Gabala Region Executive Power, greeted the guests and wished success in the works of the conference. Then Vusal Guliyev, Head of the Department for Work with Non-Governmental Organizations and Communications of the Presidential Administration, spoke about the development path of non-governmental organizations in our country, NGO-state relations, establishment of the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of Azerbaijan in 2008, and the provision of financial, methodological, advisory and organizational support to the NGOs. In other speeches, the activities of public councils under the executive powers were touched upon, the importance of further expanding and improving their work was stressed, and recommendations and instructions were given to the representatives of the region’s executive power, chairmen and members of the public councils to improve their work.
