Agrarian Business Festival was held at Gabala

On April 24, 2024, in order to promote and contribute to agricultural innovation, the “Agrarian Business Festival” was held under the joint organization of the Center for Agricultural Innovation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Gabala Region Executive Power. The event was attended by representatives of more than 60 private companies and government agencies working in the agricultural spheres of Gabala, Balakan, Gakh, Oghuz, Zagatala and Shaki regions together with the heads of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Confederation of Entrepreneurs, the Center for Expertise of Consumer Goods. Various agricultural technologies and products of interest to farmers, as well as nature-protecting and climate-friendly technologies for the purpose of promoting the calls of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be hosted by our country in 2024 was shown at the festival held in "ASAN service" center in Gabala. Anar Jafarov, director of the Agrarian Innovation Center, who spoke at the event, evaluated Agrarian Business Festivals as a platform that brings entrepreneurs and farmers together and makes an important contribution to the awareness process and noted that it is important for farmers and entrepreneurs in terms of the opportunity to get acquainted with the innovations in this field, establish direct contact with producers, and exchange experience. The head of the executive power of the Gabala region, Sabuhi Abdullayev, in his speech noted that the attention and care for the agricultural sector laid down by national leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully continued today by the President of the country Ilham Aliyev and thanked the organizers for re-hosting the Agrarian Business Festival in Gabala and wished success to the festival. During the festival, specialists from the Department of Organization and Monitoring of Crop Production of the Ministry of Agriculture made a presentation on the topic “Tobacco production in Azerbaijan in 2023.” At the end, on the occasion of Entrepreneurs' Day, letters of gratitude were presented to entrepreneurs who achieved good results in the first quarter of 2024.
