An event dedicated to "February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day" was held in the Gabala District.
On February 2, 2025, the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department and the Gabala District Executive Power collaborated to hold an event commemorating "February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day". The participants of the event visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers in front of the monument. The event, which continued at the Gabala State Vocational Education Center, honored the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the liberation of our lands, with a one-minute silence. The representative of the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department, Qarakhan Goyushlu, who opened the event with a welcoming speech, emphasized that young individuals with healthy, independent, and creative mindsets are being cultivated to play a key role in the continued growth of our modern economic, political, and cultural life, as well as the prosperity of our independent nation. The representative of the District Executive Power, Parviz Aghayev, in his speech, stated that the foundation of the state youth policy in Azerbaijan was laid by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and that today’s holiday is a gift from the Great Leader to the youth. He also spoke about the care and attention shown by our esteemed President towards Azerbaijani youth, the systematic work being carried out, and the setting of new development goals. Other speakers spoke about the successful implementation of the youth policy and the great projects implemented by President Ilham Aliyev in Azerbaijan today. At the end of the event, a video was shown on the occasion of “February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day” and a group of young people were presented Certificates of Honor by the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department for their active participation in the socio-political life of the region.
