An event dedicated to “February 2 – the Day of Azerbaijani Youth” was held in the Gabala Region
On January 29, 2026, an event dedicated to “February 2 – the Day of Azerbaijani Youth” took place in the Gabala Region. The event was attended by representatives of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the Sheki–Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department, the Gabala Regional ASAN Service Center, the regional education sector, the Gabala State Center for Vocational Education, and the Gabala branch of the Mountain Shirvan Regional Representation of the Youth Development and Career Center. During the event, the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was performed, and a minute of silence was observed in honor of the cherished memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the state independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Speakers noted that a healthy, independent, and creatively thinking youth is being formed for the further prosperity of the country’s socio-political and cultural development, as well as for the strengthening of the independent state. It was emphasized that the foundations of state youth policy in Azerbaijan were laid by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and that today’s celebration is his gift to the youth. As part of the event, a panel discussion was held on the topic “Regional Youth Development and Career Opportunities: State, Educational, Volunteer, and Practice-Oriented Mechanisms.” At the conclusion of the event, the Sheki–Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department awarded certificates of honor and letters of appreciation to a group of young participants.
