On June 10, the Heydar Aliyev Centre of the Gabala region hosted an event entitled “A History of Victory That Changed the Fate of Azerbaijan”, dedicated to June 15 – National Salvation Day. The event was attended by representatives of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the Gabala Regional ASAN Service Centre, the Sheki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department, and the Gabala branch of the Youth Development and Career Centre. The event commenced with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in honour of the bright memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The speakers noted that National Salvation Day is one of the most significant milestones in the modern history of Azerbaijan. Detailed information was provided on how, in June 1993, when the country was facing a severe political and social crisis, Heydar Aliyev returned to power at the insistent request of the people and took decisive steps to preserve the country's independence, restore stability, and place Azerbaijan on the path of development. The participants were also informed about the important measures implemented by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to strengthen Azerbaijan’s independent statehood and about the successful continuation of this political course by his worthy successor, Ilham Aliyev. At the conclusion of the event, schoolchildren recited poems, and a video dedicated to the theme was screened.
