An event titled “Azerbaijani Architecture: History, Heritage and Modern Times” was held
On April 21, 2026, within declaring 2026 the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture” in accordance with the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, an event titled “Azerbaijani Architecture: History, Heritage and Modern Times” was held at the Gabala State Vocational Education Center. The event was attended by the representatives of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the Heydar Aliyev Center of Gabala Region, as well as the teaching staff and students of the Gabala State Vocational Education Center. The speakers highlighted the role of urban planning and architecture in societal development, the importance of preserving national architectural heritage, the formation of a modern urban environment, and the significance of ensuring that the younger generation preserves national architectural traditions and develops as professional specialists in this field. At the conclusion of the event, a video covering classical architectural schools of Azerbaijan and modern constructions was presented, followed by a Q&A session addressing participants’ questions.
