An event titled “The Pillar of Our National Identity: The Azerbaijani Language and Alphabet” was held
An event dedicated to August 1 — the Day of the Azerbaijani Alphabet and Azerbaijani Language — was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in the Gabala region under the theme “The Pillar of Our National Identity: The Azerbaijani Language and Alphabet.” The speeches addressed the historical development of the native language, its richness and the importance of preserving it. Particular emphasis was placed on the exceptional services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in establishing and developing the Azerbaijani language as the state language, as well as on the significance of the decrees signed by President Ilham Aliyev concerning the preservation of the purity of the native language, its development in line with the requirements of modern times, and the expansion of its sphere of use. The event concluded with the screening of a video dedicated to the native language and alphabet.
