An event was held in Gabala Region to mark September 20th — State Sovereignty Day
On September 18th, 2026, an event jointly organized by the Gabala Region Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party and Gabala Secondary School No. 5 was held to mark September 20th — State Sovereignty Day. The event started with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A minute of silence was observed in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country. The speakers at the event spoke about the exceptional significance of September 20th — State Sovereignty Day — in the modern history of our country, particularly emphasizing that, thanks to the far-sighted state policy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the resolute leadership of Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of Azerbaijan have been fully restored. At the end of the event, a video dedicated to September 20th — State Sovereignty Day — was shown, and the students performed patriotic poems and songs.
