An online consultation was held between Gabala city (The Republic of Azerbaijan) and Grodno city (Republic of Belarus)
An online consultation was held on November 27, 2024, dedicated to the development of mutual tourism relations between the sister cities of Gabala (Azerbaijan Republic) and Grodno (Republic of Belarus), in accordance with the Action Plan – “Roadmap” for the implementation of the “Memorandum of Understanding” on establishing mutual relations between the two cities for the years 2024-2026. The consultation was attended by Arif Allahverdiyev, Deputy Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Shabnam Farman, CEO of “Gabala Hospitality Group”, Dmitry Mikhalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Grodno City Executive Committee, Sergey Kulakov, Head of the Department of Sports and Tourism, and Oleg Jachimczyk, Head of the Paid Medical Services Department at the City Emergency Medical Aid Clinical Hospital. The consultation was opened with a welcoming speech by Arif Allahverdiyev, Deputy Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, who greeted the participants and provided extensive information about the strong friendship ties between the cities and the economic development of the Gabala region. In her speech, Shabnam Farman, CEO of “Gabala Hospitality Group”, discussed the mutual tourism relations between the two cities and the growing tourism potential of Gabala. The representatives of Grodno city provided detailed information about the city’s existing tourism and health tourism. During the consultation, the prospects of the current tourism relations between the cities were discussed, and it was agreed that such consultations would continue in the future.
