Another reporting conference of the Gabala Region Council of Elders was held

On May 7, 2024, the reporting conference of the Gabala Region Council of Elders was held. The conference participants paid respect to the national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers at his monument. Opening the event with an introductory speech, the Head of the Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev told about the role of elders in the socio-political life of our country, the care of the state for representatives of the older generation, stressed that elders have always been crucial to educate the healthy youth in keeping with allegiancy to the state and the people, protecting them from harmful influences. Professor Vahid Novruzov, the Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Elders of the Republic, spoke about the role of elders and intellectuals in the development of our state, the foundation of which was laid by the national leader Heydar Aliyev, successfully continued by the President Ilham Aliyev, and noted the satisfactory annual performance of the Gabala Region Council of Elders. Chairperson of the regional Council of Elders Mehman Ismailov informed about the annual activities of the council and upcoming affairs, stressed that the martyrs' families and veterans are always in the spotlight in Gabala, and the elders also take an active part in this noble work. The elders spoke about the landscaping works carried out in our country, the global projects being implemented, stressed that they would continue to actively participate in public works, expressed deep gratitude to the President Ilham Aliyev and the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care they get. In conclusion, a group of elders was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the region executive authority for their active participation in public affairs. Since Gachayev Rafig Zinhar was unable to take part in the event due to his health condition, representatives of the Region Executive Power and the Chairperson of the regional Council of Elders presented him with a certificate of appreciation, visiting him at home.
