April 20, 2025, Easter was celebrated in the Albanian-Udi "Chotari" church in the Nij village of Gabala Region. The event was attended by the leadership of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the leadership of the community of Albanian-Udi Christians of the Republic of Azerbaijan, community members, and residents of the village. The Chairman of the Community of Albanian-Udi Christians, Robert Mobili, in his speech noted that the bringing of the "Holy Fire" from the sacred city of Jerusalem to the Chotari Church after 200 years brought great joy to the residents of the city. Emphasizing that the promotion and advancement of the rich traditions of tolerance and multicultural values inherent in our people is one of the priority areas of state policy in our country, he noted that representatives of different religions living in our region coexist in peace, tranquility, and good neighborliness, and expressed gratitude to the country's leadership for their attention and care for minority peoples. At the end of the event, candles were lit and prayers were said on the occasion of the holiday.
