As part of the “Human Rights Month”, a public discussion on the topic “Children’s Rights” was held
On June 9, 2026, at the initiative of the Gabala Children and Family Support Centre, a public discussion on the topic “Children’s Rights” was held at the Gabala State Vocational Education Centre within the framework of the “Human Rights Month”. During the public discussion, attended by representatives of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the Region Police Department, the Heydar Aliyev Centre, the Local History Museum, teachers and psychologists from the region’s general education schools, as well as lecturers and students of the Gabala State Vocational Education Centre, it was noted that the foundations of the state policy on child protection in our country had been laid by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and that this policy is currently being successfully continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. During the discussion, detailed information was provided on the history of the emergence of children’s rights, national and international legislation, the latest amendments introduced to the Law on the Rights of the Child, the significant innovations envisaged by the legislation, as well as administrative offences and criminal liability for violations of children’s rights. As part of the event, which was held in a discussion format, answers were given to questions raised by the participants.
