As part of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” a conference on “The Role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Improving the Environment in the Gabala Region” was held

On May 10, 2024, in honor of the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, a conference on “The Role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Improving the Environment in the Gabala District” was held within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” The conference, attended by representatives of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the Gabala District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, heads of institutions and organizations, intellectuals, elders, and members of the district community, began with the playing of the Azerbaijani National Anthem. The memory of the Great Leader and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of our lands was honored with a one-minute silence. Opening the event with an introductory speech, the head of the Region Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev, emphasized that the domestic and foreign policy course and state-building concept established by the National Leader are being successfully continued and enriched with new dimensions by President Ilham Aliyev today. Neman Karimov, the chief advisor of the “Regulation of Environmental Use and Ecological Education” sector of the 6th Regional Department of Ecology and Natural Resources, highlighted that during Heydar Aliyev’s leadership, nationwide greening measures were implemented in Azerbaijan for the first time. He spoke about the preservation of Azerbaijan’s rich flora and fauna diversity, the formation and development of the country’s ecological policy, and the work done in this field in the republic, including in the Gabala district. Other speakers highlighted their unparalleled contributions to the strengthening of our state independence, the great projects and economic reforms implemented under the leadership of the people’s savior, the genius leader Heydar Aliyev, and the importance of his visits to the Gabala district. At the end, a group of individuals who have shown activity in promoting Heydar Aliyev’s legacy and in the district’s public and political life were awarded the honorary decree of the Region Executive Power in connection with the 101st anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
