Athletes from Gabala won a gold medal at the international freestyle wrestling tournament held in Grodno

In accordance with the 2025 Action Plan between the twined Grodno (the Republic of Belarus) and the Gabala Region (the Republic of Azerbaijan), an international men's wrestling tournament was held in Grodno on May 22–23, with athletes from Gabala also taking part. With the organizational support of the Gabala Region Executive Power and the assistance of Gabala Inshaat LLC, five of our wrestlers, led by coach Farid Mustafayev, took part in the competition. Two of them — Ismail Aliyarov and Ahmad Ahmadli — reached the top of the podium in the 65 kg and 70 kg weight categories, respectively, and were awarded gold medals. We congratulate our athletes on their victory and wish them future success in their sporting careers.
