Easter celebrated in Nij settlement of Gabala region
On April 12, 2026, Easter was celebrated in Nij of Gabala region. The event, held at the Chotari Albanian-Udi Orthodox Church, was attended by representatives of the Gabala Region Executive Power, representatives of the Albanian-Udi Christian community of the Republic of Azerbaijan, members of the community, numerous guests from various regions, and residents. Robert Mobili, Chairperson of the Albanian-Udi Christian community, and other speakers spoke about the significance of Easter, as well as the conditions created for the performance of religious rites, and expressed their gratitude to the country’s leadership for the attention and care shown to the minor ethnic communities. At the end of the event, candles were lit, prayers were offered, and a festive concert was held to celebrate the occasion.
