Event titled “Our Mighty Army – the Strong Azerbaijan” held on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day – June 26th
On June 24, 2026, an event titled “Our Mighty Army – the Strong Azerbaijan” was held at the Heydar Aliyev Centre of the Gabala Region to mark Armed Forces Day – June 26th. The event commenced with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.The speakers at the event emphasized that National Leader Heydar Aliyev was an outstanding statesman who played an exceptional role in the history of his people and assumed the mission of their salvation during the most challenging times. The important role of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan in safeguarding the country’s independence and security was also highlighted, with particular emphasis placed on the achievements of the army, the heroism of military personnel, and examples of patriotism. The event concluded with the performance of patriotic poems and musical pieces dedicated to the Victory.
