Event titled "The Beginning of Azerbaijan's Path to Progress" was held.
An event entitled “The Beginning of Azerbaijan’s Path to Progress”, dedicated to the anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s first assumption of political leadership in Azerbaijan on July 14, 1969, was held at the Gabala Region Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP). The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a one-minute silence in memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Azerbaijan’s territories. Opening the event with introductory remarks, Abil Aghasafov, Chairman of the Gabala Region Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), stated that July 14, 1969, was one of the turning points in the history of Azerbaijan. He noted that the assumption of power by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev marked the beginning of a period of rapid development in the republic and laid a strong foundation for the country’s future independence. Other speakers noted that with the accession of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to power, socio-economic development in the country accelerated, national human resources were developed, and significant achievements were attained in the fields of science, education, industry and culture. At the end of the event, a video presentation highlighting the life and activities of the National Leader and his exceptional contributions to the development of Azerbaijani statehood was screened.
