Gabala has hosted the start of the third stage of the ‘Baku-Khankandi’ international cycling race

“Baku–Khankandi” Azerbaijan international cycling race has entered its third stage, with the riders setting off from Gabala and covering a 162.9 kilometre route to Mingachavir. In the second stage held yesterday, Yevgeny Fyodorov of Kazakhstan’s "XTS Astana" team finished first on the route from "Sea Breeze" to Ismayilli. The opening stage was won by Alexey Shnirko, the Belarusian rider of China’s "Li-Ning Star" team, who was the first to reach the finish line. In the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) 2.1 category race, 24 teams representing 20 countries are competing. The five-stage race offers a total prize fund of over 50,000 euros. The race will conclude on May 14.
