Gabala hosts opening ceremony of second "Winter Tale" International Music Festival
On February 6, the grand opening ceremony of the 2nd Gabala International Music Festival "Winter Tale" was held, organized by the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and "Gilan".
The opening ceremony was attended by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation; Anar Alakbarov, Executive Director of the Foundation; Adil Karimli, Minister of Culture; other officials; prominent public figures; as well as residents of Gabala and guests.
In his speech, Farhad Badalbayli, Rector of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, People’s Artist, and Artistic Director of the festival, noted that the 2nd International Music Festival "Winter Tale", which is a branch of the Gabala International Music Festival founded in 2009 and has become a wonderful tradition, is a significant event for our culture. He also expressed his deep gratitude to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and "Gilan" for their assistance and support in organizing the festival.
After the official part, a concert program titled "Viva Opera" was presented to music lovers, performed by the Symphonic Orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater under the baton of Honored Artist Ayyub Guliyev.
The concert featured works by Azerbaijani and European composers.
