Gabala State Historical-Artistic Reserve was visited in connection with the announcement of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World"
In connection with the announcement of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World", in order to attract public attention to environmental protection, conservation and promotion of historical and cultural monuments, the Region Executive Power organized a visit to the Gabala State Historical-Artistic Reserve by the public members and schoolchildren on April 18, being the International Day for Monuments and Sites. Then an event was held with the joint organization of the Gabala State Historical-Artistic Reserve and the Gabala Archaeological Center. Opening the event with an introductory speech, Director of the Gabala State Historical-Artistic Reserve Zahir Karimov welcomed the participants and told about the history and journey of the reserve. Nargila Gafarova, Chief Adviser of the Sheki-Zagatala Regional Department of Culture, in her speech said that today President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva are successfully continuing the work started by the great leader Heydar Aliyev towards the preservation of historical monuments for our descendants, as well as the implementation of global projects. The event continued with performances by folklore, music and dance groups of the Gabala Cultural Center. In conclusion, a tree planting campaign was carried out involving the secondary school students dedicated to the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World".
