The zonal championship of “Young rescuer and firefighter” competitions was held
On May 13, 2022, the zonal championship of “Young rescuer and firefighter” competitions was held among the secondary education institutions of the regions covered by the North-West Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the championship with the organizational support of the Ministry of emergency situations and the support of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports is to check the physical and intellectual level of pupils in connection with emergency preparedness, to increase the sense of responsible approach to personal and public safety of schoolchildren and to promote healthy lifestyle. The participants first laid flowers at the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to the great leader. Speakers at the event spoke about the importance of the competition and wished success to the participants. Vandam settlement secondary school No. 2 named after H. Rashidov of Gabala region took the first place, secondary school No. 6 named after N. Behdiyev of Ismayilli city took the second place, and Jamjamli village secondary school named after R. Babashov of Gobustan region took the third place according to the results of the three-stage competitions “Combined fire relay”, “Obstacle course” and “Team presentation”. The teams that excelled in the competition were awarded cups and diplomas. The first place team won the right to participate in the republican championship of "Young rescuer and firefighter".
