In connection with the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis — March 31, an event entitled “Crime Against National Identity” was held.
On March 31, 2026, at the initiative of the Gabala Region Heydar Aliyev Center, an event entitled “Crime Against National Identity” dedicated to March 31 — the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis was held at Secondary School No. 5 named after Shirvan Bulgadirov. The event started with the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the genocide. The speeches noted that, throughout history, a policy of ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijanis had been deliberately carried out by Armenian vandals; it was stated that our people had been subjected to genocide and deportation; and it was emphasized that these massacres have left an indelible mark on the memory of the nation and that conveying this information to future generations is the moral duty of every citizen.
