Meeting held on "the Creation of a Land Consolidation Mechanism and Its Implementation in the Gabala Region as a Pilot Project
On July 22, 2026, the Gabala State Vocational Education Centre hosted a meeting entitled “Creation of a Land Consolidation Mechanism and Its Implementation in the Gabala Region as a Pilot Project” as part of the implementation of the "State Program for the Development of Agricultural, Fishery and Aquaculture Production and Processing Sectors in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2030". The meeting was attended by representatives of the Land Use Control Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye, the Gabala Region Executive Power, the Gabala Irrigation Systems Operation Department, the Gabala State Agrarian Development Centre, the Gabala Territorial Department of the State Service on Property Issues, the Gabala Water Users Association, representatives of the administrative-territorial districts of the villages included in the pilot projects, as well as chairpersons of municipalities. During the meeting, information was presented on the study of international experience in the field of land consolidation, including the experience of the Republic of Türkiye. The participants discussed the forthcoming activities related to the implementation of the pilot projects, considered issues of coordination among the relevant state authorities, and reviewed the legal, institutional, and technical aspects of introducing a land consolidation mechanism in our country.
