More than 44000 domestic and foreign tourists were accommodated in Gabala’s hotels and other accommodation facilities during the first 6 months of the year.
During the january–june period of 2026, a total of 44207 tourists were accommodated in hotels and hotel-type establishments in the Gabala region. Of the total number of visitors, 29751 (67.3%) were citizens of Azerbaijan, while 14456 (32.7%) were foreign nationals. During the january–june period, 17 of the 25 hotels and hotel-type accommodation establishments in the region were in operation. The number of domestic and foreign tourists accommodated at hotels and hotel-type establishments increased by 1856 or 4.4%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. During the january–june period of 2026, the number of domestic tourists rose by 11066 or 59.2%, compared to the same period last year, while the number of foreign tourists declined by 9210 or 38.9%. Among foreign visitors, Indian citizens accounted for the largest share. In addition, Gabala welcomed tourists from Saudi Arabia, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, Türkiye, Kuwait, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Oman, the United States, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Poland, Georgia and Germany.
