Novruz celebration took place in the Gabala region

A region-wide celebration on the occasion of the Nowruz holiday took place in Gabala. The celebration was attended by teams of administrations, enterprises and organizations, elders, family members of martyrs, war veterans, veterans, representatives of the regional public and guests of our city. Opening the event with an introductory speech, Deputy Head of the Region Executive Power Ataya Osmanova congratulated the participants of the celebration and all residents of Gabala on the holiday and expressed good wishes. Speaking, the head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Sabuhi Abdullayev, expressed his congratulations on the holiday and stated that the socio-economic development of our country, including the Gabala region, established by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, is being continued with great skill by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The following statements were made in the speech: “It has already been the 4th year of the holiday fire being lit in our historical city Shusha, on the Jidir Plain. This year, these fires are being lit in Khojaly, Khojavand and Sugovushan. The Novruz fire of 2024 was lit yesterday in Khankendi, one of our ancient cities by President Mr. Ilham Aliyev. In the end, historical justice won. May the fires of this holiday burn constantly in the lands of our country.” “Dede Korkut”, the symbol of greatness and seniority, who came to the holiday event with a carriage, and “Bahar Giz”, the herald of spring, lit the holiday fire, congratulated the participants and wished our people abundant sustenance, abundance and prosperity. He called on people to show unity and solidarity on this holiday. A review was then conducted to the exhibition consisting of handicrafts, decorative applied art and paintings of folk artists of the region, art samples called “Recycling: clean environment and creativity” prepared in connection with the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”, industrial and food products produced in the processing plants of Gabala, festive sweets and Novruz khonchas. Participants in the event have shown a great deal of interest in the exhibition, which showcases our historic national customs and centuries-old ethnographic national-spiritual cultural legacy. Kosa and Kechal, the Novruz major characters, along with fascinating performances by the ethnographic folklore ensembles “Zopu-Zopu”, “Gulbuta” and “Gulustan” produced a nice environment in the audience during the theatrical celebration where our ancient traditions were restored. The joyful occasion, adorned with traditional Novruz decorations, proceeded with a captivating musical program curated by local cultural organizations.
